Where can you travel overnight to a nice place near Chicago by train?

I am planning to visit Chicago in a couple of months. I'll be there only for 2 nights and 3 days. My plane arrives in ORD - Chicago at 10:20AM and my plane back home leaves at 07:05PM two days later. Instead of paying for a hotel, which is about $150 a night, I'd prefer to travel during the night of the day I arrive, so I will be in this city early the following day. Then, I would go sightseeing all day and return to Chicago that night, so I could be there early on the third day to take my plane at 07:05PM. I HAVE looked for some destinations at Amtrank.com, but can't find any.
I would appreciate it very much if you could give some advice.

Chicago is a fun city. I used to live there and regretted having to move on due to job relocation. Downtown Chicago is lively and very colorful. Check out Lake Shore Blvd. where you can walk on the waterfront and enjoy the beach area swimming and sun bathing. I think you can even go boating. A visit to the Sears Tower is a must; their top of the restaurant is wonderful and the food is great, but a bit costly. If you want to go shopping for clothing, well downtown has it all.
I don't think you'll be able to find any destinations at Amtrak, but I have located you this information regarding the city's map and where you can make your own traveling destinations, which I thought was pretty neat.
Also, since you're strapped for cash in staying at a hotel, the B&B (bed and breakfast) is only $69 a night and provides you with most hotel ammenties. It's worth looking into; I've listed it below.
A great site seeing spot is Long Grove, Illinois which is outside the city and I'm guessing maybe an hour, hour and 1/2 due to traffic. It has some great area attractions and it's very relaxing. A bit of country in the city. One of my favorites. Check them out below.
Since you'll be arriving at O'Hare, they do have an underground sub-train which will take you to the suburbs; Arlington Heights, Mt. Prospect, Hoffman Estates, Barrington, Palentine and many others, however, once off the train, I'm not sure how you would go about making other traveling arrangements to get you to your other locations. You could contact Chicago's Chamber of Commerce and ask them about it, or even a travel agent may be able to assist you.

I'm not talking about sit down restaurants, I'm talking about like Subway, Burger King, or other fast food places or walk in places.
Like you order your food, and then you try to pay with your credit card because you're short on cash but they say sorry our machine isn't working. Would it be rude to not pay and just leave after they made your food?

I just recenlty applied for a car loan and was denied. Apparently my credit report has several charge offs.?
I need step by step instruction on what to do to resolve this and hopefully get it removed from my credit. These charge offs have been filed recently like in the last few months. Is it too late to get it taken off? Do i need to do a debt validation first even if i know these are my debts? How can I repair my credit from this? Many of the charge offs have been sold to a collection agency what do i do about the agencies? OR do i just deal with the orginal lenders only? HELP I am looking for the best advice to get me out of this situation as quickly as possible. Also if you can include a sample letter to write in regards to getting the charge off removed or in good standing on my credit report that will be most appreciative.
You're not going to get them totally removed. If you can deal with the original creditor, that's better, but sometimes you won't be able to. Take them one at a time, and even after you finish it, you still will probably have to wait a year before you get any chance of getting credit. This isn't an easy process. But if you work through it, you might be able to improve your situation.
