If an item is inaccurate, do you have to give a reason why?

Go to contact us on their site, call and if you still want the info talk to a customer service rep. and they can help you login, or you could go ahead and cancel the account then because after the 7 day period they will charge you if you don't call and cancel.

If someone is offering 'free financing' for 12 months, does that mean interest free?
I'm considering making a large purchase ($3,500) where they are offering free financing. Looking at the application form (through GE Money), it looks like a standard credit card application with a whopping 28.9% interest rate in big type on the 2nd page. Is there some sort of addendum I am missing that would indicate the special financing? How do I know I have a guarantee of no interest for the 12 months? Did I misunderstand what is meant by 'free financing'?
It's been years since I applied for credit and am only doing so because of the 'free financing'. Otherwise, I'd use my Visa (but the interest rate is 17%).
And yes, I plan to pay this off in 7-10 months rather than waiting for the 12 months.
BTW, normally I would wait until I had the cash to buy, but the model is being discontinued and replaced with a model that is $1000 more with features I don't need.

Here the story. I am now college student. My cousin convinced me to get a credit card because when you are student, you might get one to establish credit. So he recommended Discover. I did apply, but they denied and sent me a letter which told me that I did not have credit history. Of course I did not have, but the card I applied was Student Card, why they denied. Now I try to get my dad to cosign me. He get very descent credit scored which I bet he can get me in to, but I wonder if Discover allows my dad to cosign me. I have not contact the customer service, although I did not see anything about cosign from online application. I found out that they said they will allow cosign after the credit act 2010. I do not like secured card even though it might be the last way to establish credit. By the way, I am 19 and I have a job right now so I can pay my card, but I need to get a card which will list on my credit report.
Look into the Citi Forward card. It is also a student card and approved me without a credit history. No co-signer needed. I hear the discover cards are hard to get even with a credit history. They require excellent credit.

I know how the stripe of the card is magnatized but how does that information reach the entity that verifies the information. (ie: the reader is connected by phone line to a hub at the specific credit card company and their system digitally checks it) - this is an example and I have only an idea of how it works but do you know exactly the process. Also what is the entity that verifies the informaton.
Once the information leaves the the machine it goes to a credit card processing network. The network sends the card to the issuers network to verify the card. Usually the issuer marks the account at that moment for the pending funds. Then the ach withdrawal takes place from the issuer through the feds and back to the merchant.
