My Grandfather grew up in the Akron/Canton Ohio area during the Great Depression. He used to mention that if it wasn't for Rawland's Market giving his family credit they would have starved.
Is anyone familiar with this market? Is it still open? Is the building still there?

It was called Rowland Market on Rowland Ave. in Canton. The building is still there and it's now called the Food Center.

My wife got in way over her head and is refusing to pay the full balance on her cards and trying to "settle" with these companies ie pay one lump sum of 500 dollars to settle a 1500 credit card bill
she was advised by a lawyer friend of hers to stop paying her cards, let them default, and the companies will likely accept settlement offers vs try to go to court for the full balance.

Debt settlement is a legitimate way to get out of debt, BUT it is supposed to be for people experiencing a hardship like unemployment, a long illness, etc. Debt settlement is NOT meant for people who just don't want to pay. You are, in part, right, it is not "kinda" dishonest, it is plain dishonest.

Bad credit score and applying for luxury apartment homes?

Ok here is the deal. I am a 23 yr old female that graduated in May. I was late enough on one credit card in college that it got reported to a credit bureau and affected my score. Now it is in the low 500s. I make good money for the amount of rent for nice places (50k- average rent=780). I now have to move to a new city that I am unfamiliar with because of work. For that reason I really want a nice apartment for safety reasons and convenience. I have been looking in planned golf/country club communities with restaurants and stores in walking distance. I applied to one, but got denied. Will this be the same story for all nice "luxury" apartments. I really don't want to live in a dump or an area that is not in a nice neighborhood.

You won't find any apartments at all in complexes they have managers who will check references. You might be able to rent something from a private person who doesn't think they need to check credit or you might get a responsible person to cosign so if you default they can collect from them. Having a good income doesn't mean you will pay the rent, it will take a few years to earn a good reputation.

So do you think my credit card details have been stolen? because i heard sony store you credit card details for future purposes, even though i deleted of my ps3, do you think it will be their still or will it be deleted?

If you ever, at any point, entered your card in to buy something off the playstation store it was stored in their database, even if you deleted it off your console they still had it in their systems. Which means it's possible your details have been compromised.

I received an E-mail at exactly 7:15PM yesterday from the Playstation Network.

"Although we are still investigating the details of this incident,

information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country,
email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login,

That right there posted up above, is part of what was in the E-mail I sent. I also have seen it posted on the PSN site as part of the latest info that Sony is trying to give out to people to let them know what's going on. I was sent this E-mail even though I did the same thing you did and had deleted my card before the attacks happened too so I'm assuming it will be the same for you.
