Did you know they're giving away free sim cards at vodafone.?
Ive just ordered 2, anyone want one just go to www.vodafone.co.uk, click on online store, then click on pay as you go sim packs.
ive just phoned vodafone helpline, they wanted £2.00 for a simcard, why pay if i can get it for free.
I need an unlock code for a phone and they wont give it me unless i pay £20, or can get it free if ive got a registered simcard with em, seems a bit stupid because ile never use the simcard again anyway so its costing them money not me. i also get to spend the free credit as well.
go ahead CAR PAR CONTROL you freak, good ime going to report you then for selling simcards on here for £825, at least ime giving them a website where they can get it free, you turnip head.
Car Park Control - talk about the kettle calling the pot black.
What a cheek.

Lawsuit by creditor filed / on social security disability?
Recently a lawsuit was filed against me by a credit card company HSBC Bank Nevada. The attorney that filed the lawsuit previously sent me a letter to which I responded with a copy of my Social Security Disability statement - stating this is my only income now. I lost my job when I was injured on the job. I have answered the complaint but haven't turned it in to the court yet. I was wondering (1) will there automatically be a hearing? (2) Should I file a copy of my Social Security Statement with this answer? (3) What should I take with me to court? (4) Should I be worried? Because I am very scared. Thanks in advance for the help.
Do you own any property or have any savings, other assets? If yes, call legal aid or hire a lawyer immediately; stop all direct communication with the bank's attorney; answer the complaint directly to the court.
What you've done so far and the question you ask now tells me that you need representation asap otherwise the bank will get a judgment against you that will allow it to collect funds now an/or wait and do so YEARS later (plus continuing interest, court costs, and the banks attorney fees). RJ

have you heard of an organisation called Credit Saver UK?
I have had £67.74 taken from my bank account I think illegally. I have sent umpteen emails to them, none of which have been answered. I tried to call the phone number which was on my bank statement but it just directs me to their website. All I want is my money returned and whatever they think I have with them cancelled forthwith.
I'd have thought any legitimate company would have their website appear quite near the top of results for a google search of credit saver uk. It didn't appear to come up within the first 40 results, which suggests to me that the company is very new, or doesn't really exist. Either way it's dubious.
Have you contacted your bank to see how the withdrawal was done?

Ever the primary conceit of mainstays Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, 1976's The Royal Scam marks the first time the Steely Dan duo actually owned up to the fact. Musically, it's their edgiest, most guitar-driven record (thanks to Becker and a murderer's row of session greats that includes Larry Carlton, Elliot Randall, Dean Parks, and Denny Dias). Lyrically, the songs cut an ever-sardonic, presci...
The movie version of Kander and Ebb's Chicago was long in the making, but it's well worth the wait. Director Rob Marshall's main change was to turn the classic musical numbers into fantasy sequences, but of course this isn't obvious on CD. Most importantly, the arrangements are bursting with life while being true to the show's spirit, and the casting is simply inspired. Catherine Zeta-Jones actual...
There will likely be lots of scoffing at Marc Anthony's interpretation--both on disc and onscreen--of late salsa singer Hector Lavoe. But let's not forget that Anthony is a salsa superstar in his own right. He has anchored some of the genre's most thrilling moments and has taken salsa to audiences not normally exposed to the sweltering sound. The El Cantante soundtrack is a solid effort, notable f...

What is a security freeze on my credit and is it a good idea?
I just checked my credit report, minus credit score... I saw it saying about security freeze, and wondered if I should put a security freeze on my credit report... Is it a good idea for me???
A security freeze will prevent any additional credit accounts being opened in your name. If you're concerned about identity theft then you can consider it. Do keep in mind though that having a security freeze with just one credit agency is not very useful as that may not be the credit checking company that may be used when someone applies for a new account with your name. You'll need to ask all of the agencies for a security freeze, which may not be worth it in the end as the cost will add up.

At my house we get mail for 8 to 10 different people who no longer live here. I've minimized it by returning to sender and crossing off the address, but we still get a lot of this stuff all the time, and most of it is clearly unimportant (credit card ads, newsletters, etc.).
I know it's illegal to open and read them, but is it legal to simply throw them away (or recycle them, in this case)? Am I obligated to just continue accepting mail for someone I don't know and sending it back?
How about contacting the local post office and give them the list of names of the people you are receiving mail for and request that it be stopped.
P.S. If people cared to receive their mail then they would make sure to request a address change, So throw it out.

Are there ways to get the maximum federal housing tax credit if you make more than 75,000?
I just started a job that makes more than 75,000. Last year, I only made 45,000 though. I am hoping to buy a house by April 15, but I am not sure if that is going to happen. Are there ways to get the full refund if I now make more than 75,000? If I put money in a 401k or IRA, will that offset the amount that I make and allow me to maximize my housing credit?
Sure. Just claim the credit on your 2008 return. That way your 2008 income will be used. If you don't close by the filing deadline, just file an amended return using Form 1040-X after you close on the new place.
If you're already getting a refund without the credit, you can just hold off filing until you close and then claim it on the 2008 return without having to go through the hassle of an amended return. There are no penalties if you file late with a refund due.
Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts, hastily made and released some five months after she won the 2005 American Idol crown, was surprisingly solid and tuneful. For her follow-up, producer Mark Bright steers her toward the big Martina McBride skies, with a plethora of strings and huge emotional crescendos. Underwood co-wrote four songs, mostly with the tried-and-true tunesmiths who made Some Hearts soar...

This is the near-legendary video that started the trend of songs for kids on video in 1986. The footage of kids playing in houses and backyards has a delightful homemade quality and is anchored by the songs of Hap Palmer, once dubbed the "Bob Dylan of the diaper set." His songs do have a nice folksiness that is just right. From the very first song, "Piggy Toes," you can see where the video is a...
